Connecting Quo to AdvantaCRM lets you text clients without leaving their profile and keeps a record of every Quo call and message on the client's timeline.
There are two ways to set this up, and which one you use depends on how your team is structured:
Individual agent — you connect your own Quo account. You control your key and your sending number. Best for solo agents and anyone running their own Quo account.
Agency — an admin connects the agency's Quo workspace once, then maps each CRM agent to a Quo user and assigns their sending number. Downline agents never touch an API key.
Pick the section below that matches your setup.
What the integration does
Send texts from client profiles. Messages go out through Quo using your assigned number, without leaving AdvantaCRM.
Log calls and messages automatically. Quo activity attaches to the matching client profile so the full history lives in one place.
Route through your own number. Each agent sends from a Quo number they already have access to.
Calls work a little differently than texts. Texts send from inside AdvantaCRM. Calls hand off through your device's standard phone-link handler, which means you'll need the Quo desktop app (Windows or Mac) or the Android app installed and set as your default calling app. See Troubleshooting for the full requirements, including the current iOS limitation.
Before you start
You need an active Quo account. AdvantaCRM doesn't create Quo accounts, numbers, or phone permissions.
Agency setup requires a Quo owner or admin to generate the workspace API key.
Already using another VoIP provider on AdvantaCRM? Agents can only be on a single VoIP provider at a time. If you use 2 or more, please choose one to connect.
Part 1: Connecting Quo as an individual agent
Step 1: Create an API key in Quo
In Quo, go to Settings → API.
Click Generate API key.
Give the key a name you'll recognize later — Advanta works well.
Copy the key.
Copy the key somewhere safe before you close the page. Quo may not show it again in full.
Step 2: Paste the key into AdvantaCRM
In AdvantaCRM, go to Settings → Integrations.
Find Quo and click Connect.
Paste your key into the Paste Quo API key field.
Click Connect Quo.
Your key is stored encrypted. AdvantaCRM uses it to send texts, list your available numbers, and register the webhooks that pull activity onto client profiles. It does not change number permissions inside Quo.
Step 3: Choose your default sending number
Once you're connected, the panel switches to a Connected state and shows a Default Quo number dropdown.
Open the dropdown and pick the number you want texts to send from.
If you only have one number, it's selected for you and there's nothing to change.
The dropdown only lists numbers your Quo user already has access to. If a number you expect is missing, grant yourself access in Quo, then click Refresh Quo.
That's it — Quo now appears under Your integrations with your active number listed underneath it.
Managing your connection
From Settings → Integrations → Quo you can:
Change your default number at any time from the dropdown.
Refresh Quo to pull in newly added numbers or an updated user record.
Disconnect to remove the key and stop syncing. Past logged activity stays on your client profiles.
Part 2: Connecting Quo for your agency
Agency setup is a three-step flow: connect the workspace, match your team, then assign default numbers. You'll do this from Agency settings → Integrations.
Step 1: Connect the workspace
In Agency settings → Integrations, find Quo (Agency) and click Connect.
Paste a workspace API key generated by a Quo owner or admin. (Same path as above: Quo Settings → API → Generate API key.)
Click Connect Quo.
Downline agents never see this key. The workspace is considered connected once webhooks are registered — agents can stay unmapped for now and be added later.
To pick back up later, click Manage on the Quo (Agency) card.
Step 2: Match your team
This step maps each AdvantaCRM agent to a Quo user. An agent has to be mapped to get Quo texting and call logging — unmapped agents simply won't have the feature.
AdvantaCRM auto-matches only when there's exactly one matching email address. Anything ambiguous is left for you to set manually.
Use the dropdown under each agent to pick their Quo user. Each CRM agent maps to one Quo user.
For anyone who shouldn't be on Quo, choose Not using Quo. They'll show that status instead of Ready.
Added someone in Quo since you connected? Click Refresh Quo to pull in the new users.
Agents currently connected to other VoIP providers cannot be mapped to the agency’s Quo workspace. They must disconnect from Settings → Integrations first. Then click Refresh Quo and map them here.
Step 3: Assign default numbers
For each mapped agent, choose the Quo number their texts should send from.
The dropdown only shows numbers that that Quo user already has access to. If a number isn't listed, grant that user access to the line in Quo first, then come back and refresh. AdvantaCRM doesn't create or share numbers inside Quo.
More than one agent can use the same number. When they do, each agent's row notes who they're sharing with — for example, Shared default with Jordan Lee.
How shared lines behave
When several agents send from the same number, inbound messages and calls attach to the client's owner in AdvantaCRM. Any agent who has that book shared with them will see the activity on the same profile, so nothing gets lost — it just isn't duplicated onto separate records.
Managing the agency connection
Click Manage on the Quo (Agency) card to return to any of the three steps — add newly hired agents, change a mapping, or swap someone's default number.
Disconnect removes the workspace key and stops syncing for every mapped agent at once.
Troubleshooting
A number I expect isn't in the dropdown. AdvantaCRM only lists messaging-capable numbers that the selected Quo user can already access. Grant the user access to the number in Quo, then click Refresh Quo.
An agent can't send texts or isn't getting call logging. On the Match team step, confirm that the CRM agent is mapped to the correct Quo user and shows Ready. Also confirm they have a default number and aren't still connected to Dialpad.
Calls aren't opening in Quo. AdvantaCRM opens calls through your device's standard phone-link handler. Install the Quo desktop app on Windows or Mac, or the Android app, and set Quo as your default calling app. Simply installing and signing into Quo is insufficient. Quo does not currently support this default-handler flow on iOS, so iPhone and iPad users may need to copy the number into Quo. Quo's click-to-call instructions
A Quo user doesn't appear in the dropdown. Add them to the same Quo workspace connected to AdvantaCRM, then click Refresh Quo on the Match team step. If the agent is missing from the Match team page entirely, add them to your agency in AdvantaCRM first.
