Drip campaigns send your clients a series of emails automatically, with waits and checks in between. You set up the journey once, enroll your clients, and AdvantaCRM handles the follow-up for you. For example, it can email a client, wait a few days, check whether they filled out their Intake Form, and send a reminder if they haven't.
You'll find them under Tools → Drip Campaigns in the sidebar.
Two ways to get a campaign
Build your own
Create a campaign from scratch and decide exactly what happens at each step. Campaigns you build use the email templates saved on your account.
Install one from your agency
If your agency has shared a campaign with you, you can install it with a five-step setup wizard. Agency campaigns come ready to go with the agency's own emails and timing, so there's nothing to build. If the campaign uses an Intake Form, you'll just choose one of your own forms during setup.
You'll know one is available when you see a number on the Agency campaigns button at the top of the page, or a recommendation banner with a View recommended button.
Good to know: Your agency manages the campaigns it shares with you, so you can't edit their steps.
How a journey works
Every campaign is a journey made of steps. Clients move through the steps from top to bottom, one at a time. There are five kinds of steps:
Send email sends one of your email templates.
Wait pauses for a set number of days or weeks.
Check a condition looks at whether the client did something, such as completing an Intake Form, and sends them down a Yes or No path.
Add tag updates the client's CRM tags.
End campaign stops the journey.
Tip: To see a finished journey before you build your own, click View example journey on the Drip Campaigns page.
Before you start: get your templates and forms ready
Building your own campaign? Email steps pull from the templates already saved on your account. Head to Templates and create every email you plan to send, so they're ready to pick when you reach each email step.
Installing an agency campaign? You don't need templates, because your agency provides the emails. If the campaign uses an Intake Form, create the form you want to use in Intake Forms before you install. You'll select it during setup.
Enrolling and tracking clients
Once you have a campaign, you can enroll clients in two ways:
One campaign at a time: open the campaign's Stats tab and click Enroll clients.
In bulk: filter your profiles on the Reports page, then add them all at once.
To see where every client is in their journey, click Stats at the top of the Drip Campaigns page.
