Quoting Medicare Plans

A Medicare quote shows you the plans available in a client's county, with estimated prescription costs based on their medications and pharmacies. Setup takes three short steps.

Getting there

Open the client's profile, click Quotes, then click New quote or New Medicare quote.

Good to know: Quoting is faster when the client's medications, pharmacies, and address are already on their profile. AdvantaCRM pulls them in for you.

Step 1 — Choose the coverage

Select Medicare, then choose a plan type:

  • MA + Part D — medical and drug coverage.

  • MA only — medical coverage only. This option skips the pharmacy step because no drug costs are estimated.

  • Part D (PDP) — drug coverage only.

For MA + Part D, you can also choose which special needs plans to include: No SNP, D-SNP, C-SNP, I-SNP, or All.

Click Continue.

Step 2 — Confirm the location and plan year

Plans and prices depend on the county and year, so check these before moving on.

  • ZIP code and county — filled in from the profile when available. If a ZIP spans more than one county, choose the right one.

  • Plan year — when next year's plans are available, you can choose between the two years.

  • Rx on profile — the prescriptions that will be priced. Click Edit to add or change them. Your changes also update the client's Health section.

Step 3 — Choose the pharmacies

Drug costs are estimated at the pharmacies you choose here.

  • Pharmacies saved on the client's profile are marked Profile.

  • Mail order is included by default, and you can remove it.

  • Add up to 5 retail pharmacies. Search by name, address, or 5-digit ZIP, or click Show map to see what's nearby.

Click See plans. You'll need mail order or at least one retail pharmacy selected to continue.

While the quote loads

Plans appear first, then prescription estimates fill in plan by plan. A progress message shows how many plans have been priced so far.
